IEMT & Hypnotherapy for Imposter Syndrome
You achieve something and immediately question it.
You receive praise and feel exposed.
You are competent, capable, often successful — and still quietly convinced that you are one mistake away from being found out.
That tension is exhausting.
Imposter syndrome, in short, is about not integrating your ability into your self-concept.
You do have all the evidence of your competence in front of you. Degrees. Experience. Results. Positive Feedback. Praise.
And still, internally, you discount all of it and hold onto the belief that you lack ability and all of the proof was just pure luck, good timing, the generosity of others for no reason, or arrived by accident.
You attribute success to everything outside of yourself and wait for the shoe to drop, the sh*t to hit the fan, the moment when you embarrass yourself, and everyone will finally know how incompetent you are.
What Imposter Syndrome Is Really About
Imposter syndrome is usually rooted in unstable self-evaluation.
If, early on, achievement was inconsistent with how you were seen or treated, your internal identity may not have updated. Part of you still operates from an outdated verdict.
So when you succeed, it feels like a glitch. Instead of pride, you feel relief. Instead of ownership, you feel doubt. Your brain has learned to doubt every win. It keeps you over-preparing, second-guessing, waiting to be ‘found out.’
Why More Achievement Does Not Fix It
You might think that once you reach the next level, or you just get more confident, the feeling will disappear. And it does. Temporarily.
Because imposter syndrome is not solved by accumulating proof. Look at your achievements already. Did it help so far?
When your system no longer treats visibility and success as threats, your internal position changes.
How I Work With Imposter Syndrome
The relief comes when you stop rehearsing failure and start feeling at home in your own skin. That’s the work we do together.
In our sessions, we identify the specific moments that shaped your internal narrative about your worth and authority.
Using IEMT and focused hypnotherapy, we update the emotional imprints connected to achievement and exposure. When that layer shifts, something simple happens:
You stop arguing with your own competence.
You succeed without waiting for collapse.
You take your place without bracing.
